Projectors of the last generation were nothing but a mass of metal, glass and plastic. They were bulky and required great effort to carry them along. Hence, carrying out the presentations was indeed a difficult task.
This tiny sized pico projector allows you to go about your presentations the way you want. And this is arguably its best feature. For a projector that just measures 125 mm in length and weighs 160 grams, it fits in easily in any pocket. In addition to being light in weight, the MPro 150 is compact and has a very simple design. Furthermore, the device is accompanied by a focusing dial and a lamp that provides an added advantage to it.
The top section of the projector houses d-pad which is quite frustrating to use for navigation purposes. The slot for accommodating microSD card is present on the side. This can easily be expanded up to 1GB. At the base of the device, there are separate slots for USB, 3.5 mm audio out, VGA A/V and power sockets.
There are many cables available in the MPro 150 kit that is suitable to be connected across different devices. While the Audio and VGA cables can be used for connecting the projector with a laptop, RCA set can be used to connect the projector with a DVD player. Then there’s a USB cable that will let you connect this device with a computer to enable you transfer numerous files easily. Though other cables can be used in addition to the ones that already exist, they are hardly required. This is because the expandable memory slot can load different types of files including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, BMP, PDF, MPEG3, etc.
Once the projector is powered on you will realize how simple its interface really is. The menu system in the form of a grid lets you choose the type of file you want to use. It could be a presentation, document, spreadsheet, PDF, picture or a video. The projector is intelligent enough to browse through different file systems through d-pad.
Performance wise, MPro 150 projector does a good job. It is very much possible to get a screen up to 80 inches for a standard presentation. However, in these cases you will be limited with resolution levels. The quality of image is impressive indeed. Watching a movie or sharing video clips is possible but may not offer the same satisfaction levels of a true cinematic experience. So as compared to its traditional counterparts, this pocket projector has its own set of disadvantages.
The d-pad feature available in this device is not just frustrating to use but also doesn’t support all videos that you might want to try out. For business users who rely a lot on other devices like Smartphone and laptops can certainly look forward to the out-of-the-box experience when they are used along side with this pocket projector. Overall quality wise, the projector is good enough but certainly not great.
